Massage Therapists

Ross Anderson

Ross Anderson has been practicing massage since 2005. He started his education in massage at Mizu Shin Tao dojo, where he learned a massage system called Seifukujutsu. This massage system brings in elements of deep tissue, acupressure, and meridian therapy together to balance the body. For the first few years of his practice, he used this, in conjunction with Qi Gong, to help his clients to heal. In 2007, he attended Body Being Massage School in Truckee, where he was trained in many different modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Craniosacral Therapy, and Thai Yoga massage. After attending this school, he was trained to teach massage, and taught a few classes at Body Being as well.

His philosophy in massage uses the body's natural ability to heal itself, and uses massage to assist in creating the opportunity for the body to heal. Through his personal use of Qi Gong and meditation, he has become sensitive to the subtle energy field of the body, and works with Qi to help the body balance itself. His massages tend to be a hybrid of all of the different modalities he knows, tailoring each massage to the specific needs of each person. He is very passionate and excited about the work he does, and strives to help his clients gain relief and move along their path to a healthier life with every massage.

Also an avid Yogi, Alex uses her knowledge of this ancient art to bring an emphasis of breath awareness and conscious intention into her massage.

Alex has made her passion her career and attended the Body Being Massage School in Truckee, CA, where she studied many various forms of body work including deep tissue massage, Swedish Massage, Thai Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Chinese medicine. She has also spent time traveling to both India and Thailand where she grew a deeper understanding of the roots of both Thai and Indian massage, as well as Eastern Yogic philosophies.
